To the Rescue of Saughall Cricket Club!

Saughall Cricket Club were founded in 1893 and are situated on Golden Jubilee Park off Fiddlers Lane in Saughall. They are a village club who made the decision to improve their facilities for the benefit of the whole village. Their hope is to grow as a club and offer youth cricket for all residents of the village. Currently, they operate two teams with the Cheshire Alliance as well as a midweek T20 team in the Chester & District Midweek League. Everyone is welcome to take part within the club, no matter the age or ability!

Unfortunately, the Saughall Cricket Club recently found that their pitch covers and sight screens had been vandalised and were in badly need of repair work, this proved to be costly and the Club found they needed help with this.

Thankfully, Nice ‘N’ Naughty were on hand to prove that after some “naughty” bit of vandalism, there are “nice” people about that will help, and kindly donated £200 to help with the repairs! 🙂

Quote from Martin Huxley – Fundraiser at Saughall CC:
“When it happened it was a kick in the teeth really as I know how much hard work goes into running a cricket club. Things like this set us back, so we were all pretty deflated.

Then, Nice ‘N’ Naughty, who have supported the club in the past, contacted me to say that they would make a large donation towards the repairs. I was really chuffed as it was out of the blue!

The money will definitely help our club, but more than that, it’s one of those instances where – out of adversity – human spirit prevails – so I’d like to thank Simon, Trish and the team at Nice ‘N’ Naughty for helping us.”

We love a happy ending here at Nice ‘N’ Naughty! 🙂
